Ana's Sweet Honey Rolls
Dissolve Yeast in warm Water. Add Honey, melted Butter, Salt, scalded Milk, and Eggs and mix together. Add in the Flour and mix to form a soft dough. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let dough rise until double (about an hour and a half to two hours). Divide dough in half and roll out 1/2 inch thick on a floured surface. Filling:
Spray two 9"x13" pans with non-stick cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350°. Spread on each section of dough 1/4 cup Butter, and 1/4 cup Sugar. Roll up and cut into 1 inch slices. Spread 1/2 cup melted Butter in 9"x13" pan, pour 1/2 cup Honey over Butter. Place sliced rolls over Honey and Butter mixture. Let rise, covered, until double. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned. Let rolls stand in the pan for 5 minutes after baking before turning them out onto a baking sheet or platter. © 2001 Lois T. Bartholomew |
